Reviews:
Album cover: I really love this cover. I think the colors are beautiful, Addison looks stunning, the outfit is gorgeous, and I even love the color and font of the album title. I think it’s so pretty, and it captures the vibe Addison is going for with her music and her performances.
I give this cover a 10/10!
Songs:
New York: This song is a cute one to start off the album! This one almost feels hypnotic. Her voice is soothing in this track, and I enjoy the production.
This song embodies the free and exciting feeling of being in New York City. I like this one, I’ll give it a 7/10!
Diet Pepsi: This is a song that made its rounds on TikTok, and I can tell why! The lyrics feel so girly, and it’s so catchy. The chorus is also beautiful to listen to, both Addison’s voice and the production are so enjoyable!
This song perfectly encapsulates the exhilaration of young love. I give “Diet Pepsi” a 10/10.
Money is Everything: I can’t lie, I found the opening of this song kind of cheesy, but I don’t mind it. This song is clearly just meant for fun, and I love that! I like the use of voice effects in this one; it ties the song together nicely.
This song isn’t my favorite ever, but I wouldn’t say I dislike it! I give “Money is Everything” a 6/10.
Aquamarine: The production of this song immediately matches the title so nicely, I can’t fully explain it. Addison’s vibe is clearly just fun, self-expressive, and girly. This song displays that really nicely along with her vocals.
This one is so satisfying to listen to, and I love how the lyrics are both on theme and have alternate meanings. I give “Aquamarine” a 9/10.
Lost & Found: This song is quite short at only 48 seconds long, but it’s a nice little beat that somewhat summarizes the sound of this album. I like how this sounds, it’s a cute little intermission! I’ll give it an 8/10.
High Fashion: This song has a similar sound to “Diet Pepsi” in my opinion, I really like it! This one is a bit slower, but still has very danceable production. This song is Addison’s expression of her own journey in the industry, embracing the glamor of the entertainment industry.
This is one I would love to listen to while cruising down the highway at night with my windows down. I give “High Fashion” an 8/10!
Summer Forever: This is another slower song, but it feels really romantic and ethereal. Addison really shows how high her voice can go in this track, the higher notes making this song feel really magical. This song is really lovely, and the production ties everything together.
I love this one, I give it a 10/10.
In The Rain: This song brings the pace back up a bit, but ever so slightly. Once again, these lyrics are so girly and fun. This one is about displaying confidence, embracing change, and moving on with a brand new outlook.
I appreciate the theme of this song, as well as Addison’s vocals. This is an enjoyable one to listen to! I give it a 9/10.
Fame is a Gun: This is another one that did rounds on TikTok, and I can’t lie, this one is already on all of my playlists. This song expresses Addison’s conflicted feelings on fame and the industry, and she does this through pretty vocals and unique production. It’s also just really catchy.
“Fame is a Gun” gets a 9/10 from me!
Times Like These: This song is another fun and somewhat slow one, however, I wish it were a bit more different from the other songs. This is another one that’s nice and girly and easy to listen to, I just wish there were some more variety.
“Times Like These” gets a 6/10 from me.
Life’s No Fun Through Clear Waters: This is another little interlude, I think it sounds really nice and sets the scene perfectly for the next song. I’ll give this an 8/10 as well.
Headphones On: This song is perfect to close out the album. I love how her voice sounds in this song, and the production once again is nearly flawless. This song draws inspiration from early 2000s pop, and you can totally hear the influence.
I just love the girly songs like this, it’s a soothing yet danceable song to listen to in my opinion. I give “Headphones On” a 9/10!
OVERALL RATING: 8.25/10
I really enjoyed this album!
I do wish the sound had a bit more variety, but overall, I love Addison’s voice and the production on this album. The theme feels consistent throughout the album, and it feels so cohesive with the album cover as well. This album is definitely very girly and fun, I very much approve!
